Alpine Race Programs

The Alpine Race programs provide speed and technical training for skiers aged 8-18 who have a coach recommendation and are interested in gated speed competitions. The Alpine Race programs are categorized by series which are differentiated primarily by age and ability. three separate training pathways that scale in intensity and commitment: Youth Ski League, South Series, and Qualifier Series. Athletes are matched into a series and small training group based on their age, abilities, and desired training intensity. All Alpine athletes are invited to dryland training and holiday break training camp.

Youth Ski League (YSL)

This flexible introductory program is for athletes ages 8-11 to explore ski racing. With training options ranging from one to four days per week, athletes can find the right balance between recreation and performance while still benefitting from the team setting. While athletes training once per week will enjoy skill development and exciting local races, an ideal training would be at least twice per week.

Birth years: 2014-2017

South Series (SS)

This program is for athletes ages 9-13 who are ready to race at a more competitive level at local and divisional races. Ranging from 2-4 training days per week with training options at the UOP and Powder Mountain, these athletes are focused on learning upper body discipline, upper-lower body separation, and tactical elements of racing.

Birth years: 2016-2012

Qualifier Series

This advanced program is for full-time athletes ages 12-18 who are ready for the most serious training to compete at the highest levels, including regional, national and international events. Ranging from 3-6 training days per week across multiple resorts, these athletes are focused on tactics, drills, and gate training and race in all three disciplines: Super G, GS, and Slalom.
